Childhood Performance

I decided to pull together information in posts that provide insight into my performance during my childhood. Wouldn’t it be exceptional if a system/application could do this?

I will begin with previous posts on my performance at Watooka Day School, a school that was managed by the bauxite company (called Guymine when I was there; called Demba originally, which was owned by Alcan Aluminum). In this first post, I explained that I was the youngest in my class at WDS: https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2023/12/what-i-hope-people-say.html. I was the youngest in my class because I was moved to a higher grade when I transferred to the school. In another post, I mentioned that I was a member of the school band and that joining the band was restricted to high performers: https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2022/11/music-band.html. In another post, I mentioned that I was one of ten students from WDS who made the grade at the Common Entrance examination to qualify for President’s College (High School): https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2022/07/linden-guyana.html. I was expected to perform well. A few years prior, I wrote the first level of a music program provided by a music institution in England. I performed really well at the music exam.

At home, as I wrote in this poem: https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2023/12/memories.html, I delivered messages for my mother. I was good at messages – I never forgot what my mother told me to say or what she wanted. I found my way to the destinations successfully. Sometimes I needed to cross a busy road.

I graduated from high school (President’s College) with honors. These posts provide additional information: https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2023/08/a-happy-moment.html and https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2023/08/high-school.html. I graduated on time, which means that I did not repeat a class/year. A few students repeated a year and so graduated later than they were supposed to (based on the year of entry). I accomplished a lot. One thing I was proud of was my Pascal program to solve simultaneous equations, details provided in this post: https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2023/02/programming.html. There were some issues. I articulated the issues with my English classes/training in this post: https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2024/02/high.html.

FEATURED

I am working to be published.

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.

About THIS BLOG

I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.

I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.

I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
