Mental Health

I generally do not like to discuss my health condition and health history in a public way, but I think it is important to share some of this information in this blog.

Note that I was diagnosed with a fairly minor mental health condition that is not associated with weird thoughts, thoughts of suicide, and so on. I look normal and I can perform activities like any normal person. I am not dependent on anyone to take care of me (I did require assistance after my surgery and when I had problems with my feet). A nurse visited my home after surgery to help take care of me. When I had foot problems, I stayed in the hospital and then in rehab until it was the appropriate time to leave for home. As I mentioned in this post: https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2024/01/update_18.html, the nurses and nursing aides helped to clean me up in bed.

I was in the hospital several times because of my reported mental health condition. Once, I recall that I was admitted for medication avoidance. There was some misunderstanding about what pills I needed to take.

I am working to be published.

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. About THIS BLOG

I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
