Valentine’s Day

It is Valentine’s Day!

A verse on love came up today as the verse of the day. Maybe the app/system made an appropriate choice based on the day.

Matthew 5:43-44

You have heard that it was said, “Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.” But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

My thoughts on love today:

I love it when I feel the love from people around me

A special gift from a relative

Or a helping hand when I need it

Or an inquiry about my wellbeing with a “How is Fahmi?”

When I was stranded in New York, friends assisted me

I recall that strangers assisted me also

So did people from churches

I appreciated their kind, thoughtful actions.

These are the different ways people say “I feel for you”

“I want you to be okay/well” and

“I love you.”

The love of a partner or spouse may be more special.

I thought I would be married by now

But that didn’t occur

I would welcome a spouse.

I trust in the Lord.

I am working to be published.

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
