Inside Fahmeena Odetta's Head

Blog by Fahmeena Odetta Moore. I trust in Almighty God ("But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.")

Yesterday

Yesterday I went out for breakfast with my mother. The neighbors threw some powder on her hand to involve her in the Phagwah “activities” on the street. She was lucky it wasn’t a bucket of water thrown on her because there was a lot of that. It was a happy time on our street (for those who participated in Phagwah).

My mother met an old friend while we were dining. There were both so very happy to see each other and had a good ‘gyaff.’ My mother wanted to go for a drive after that.

As I write this, I am noticing that I am using ‘happy’ a lot.  This could be because of yesterday’s post. By the way, yesterday’s post made me think of my work on the Lessons Project – 7ps, calendar, and so on. That project focused more on achievement and success.

FEATURED

I am working to be published.

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.

About THIS BLOG

I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.

I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.

I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
