My post yesterday reminded me of my early career desires. I recall that one of the reasons I did finance was so I could work for one of the international finance organizations. When I graduated with my master’s degree in finance, I tried unsuccessfully to obtain a job at one of those organizations. I was told that I needed work experience. I did not have enough work experience. Years went by and I moved in another direction.

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
