Work on paper

In my last post, I thought of working on a new paper for publishing. Many, many months ago, I was working on improving school papers so that they could be published in academic journals. I will continue this work. I selected a paper on compensation and employee performance to improve. It is a topic I am interested in and I will work on improving that paper for publishing.

I prepared the paper for a Research Methods course I completed many years ago. It was one of several papers focused on the hand hygiene area. It was the paper just before the signature assignment – an earlier paper that led up to the signature assignment. I started the process. I read the paper, pulled up information on the paper from the blog for the course (https://fmooresignatureassignment3.blogspot.com/2016/08/assignment-9-submitted.html), and so on.

I already improved the signature assignment for this Research Methods course. I am very pleased with how it turned out. It is available as a preprint in ResearchGate.

I am working to be published.

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
