Better today

Daily writing prompt
What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I decided to respond to the WordPress prompt for today 10/18/2025. The writing prompt is: What’s something most people don’t know about you?

Most people don’t know that I started wearing glasses because I needed it for driving. I was around 24 years old. I am not certain how and why my vision declined. I am certain that my eyesight was normal when I was a little girl. I actually remember being able to tell what was displayed on the front of a bus from a distance when I was about 7 years old. I could tell what was on the blackboard in school even though I was not at the front of the class. I did not have pre-diabetes then or some degenerative eye disease.

I am feeling better mostly because of the breakfast I had. I had the McDonald’s big breakfast. My sister had it delivered.

FEATURED

I am working to be published.

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.

About THIS BLOG

I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.

I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.

I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
