This Christmas, because of my health situation, I did not decorate the Christmas tree or put up Christmas lights. It is an unusual Christmas. I remember the excitement around Christmas in past years. There was an excessive amount of excitement around Christmas when I was a young girl. Growing up in Linden Guyana, it was tradition to clean the house from “top to bottom” and eat special dishes at Christmas. I included this information in my poembook ‘Growing Up In Linden, Guyana.’

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
