  • Doing Well

Good morning from Linden, Guyana! I am grateful that I am alive and well this morning. I am grateful that I can walk without the need for crutches or other support. I am grateful for a lot more things. I remember how scared I was of COVID a few years back. COVID affected a lot… Continue reading

  • Origami

Good afternoon from Linden, Guyana! I am almost finished with a task I needed to complete. I am steadily making progress with my tasks. I am remembering the planes and boats I knew how to make from paper when I was a little girl. It was just something children learned to do. I recall that… Continue reading

  • Entertaining Myself

It is a rainy Saturday in Linden. I don’t watch much tv. I am entertaining myself in Facebook – there are lots of interesting things to see and read. One of the videos I just watched of a street in San Francisco was very interesting (link: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/D8769FhSF8g9evkk/?mibextid=oFDknk). The video showed a rider riding his bicycle in… Continue reading

  • Noise

Good morning from Linden, Guyana! It is Monday morning already! The weekend went by rather quickly. It is a bit more noisy than usual. I am hearing hammering and other construction sounds from a neighbor’s house. He must be having work done on his house. Thankfully, it is not overly noisy. I can still concentrate.… Continue reading

  • Flooding Due To Rain

The rain led to flooding in some areas in Linden. The flooding is affecting many residents who must have complained and expressed dissatisfaction with the clearing/draining of flood waters. I just read an article online on the situation. It appears that the complaints led to some action. Rain may be continuing for a while so… Continue reading

  • Black Pudding

Good morning from Linden, Guyana! I was surprised to learn that black pudding is served for breakfast (part of a full English breakfast) in Scotland. It includes onions, pork fat, oatmeal, and pig’s blood. Irish white pudding is black pudding without the pig’s blood. I do not believe black pudding, made with seasoned rice and… Continue reading

  • Good Idea

Isn’t this page interesting? (Page: https://www.facebook.com/DanaGillespieOfficial?mibextid=ZbWKwL)The idea ‘Around My World in Sixty Songs’ is very good. Maybe I could do something analogous. Her posts are very interesting to read. She shares interesting things related to each selection. Continue reading

FEATURED

I am working to be published.

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.

About THIS BLOG

I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.

I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.

I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
