Thrive
I like the slogan “Live well and thrive.” For me, when you thrive you are likely successful but better off than being successful. Thriving makes me think of flowers in bloom, achieving one’s potential, being beautiful, and being happy. I have to come up with all sort of ways to be thriving. Continue reading

Work
Good morning from Linden, Guyana! It is Monday morning and, for many, time to return to work after the long weekend. I just read a piece on the difference in work culture in the U.S. and E.U. The U.S. is all about working more to achieve more while the E.U. is about free time and… Continue reading

Nutrition Rainbow
Today, a post by WebMD informed that purple foods as a group provide common nutrients that protect cells from damage. It was the first time I saw purple foods grouped together for a discussion on nutrition. I will now associate purple with something else. I knew of other color groupings such as orange foods (pumpkin,… Continue reading

#ThrowbackThursday I recall that as a student at GWU I studied the introduction of the euro in Europe. At that time, introduction of the new currency was very close to being implemented. I worked on a group assignment on the costs, issues, and risks associated with the introduction of the new currency. Continue reading

Sunrise and Sunset
Good morning from Linden, Guyana! Sunrise today was at 5:40am. A question from Twitter/X: What emotions or thoughts does a beach sunset typically evoke in you? A sunset makes me think of ending (the end of a day), receding (sun going down or going away), and nightfall. I like that sunsets are usually colorful, sometimes with shades of yellow, orange,… Continue reading

FEATURED
I am working to be published.
I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
