Color
The colors of the costumes and outfits worn during Mashramani (Mash) in Guyana are very bright. I believe the colors are based on the Guyana flag as well as colors in the environment – the color of birds, flowers, and so on. Continue reading

Mash 2024
Mashramani (Mash) is in full swing in Guyana! As expected, the Costume and Float parade (the main event) is tomorrow, the 23rd. The Mashramani calendar also shows there will be a Literary Festival and a Mash horse race, among other Mash events. Those were surprises! The horse race reminds me of the Triple Crown races… Continue reading

Bible Verse
From Colossians Chapter 3: 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. 25 Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is… Continue reading

View of professors
Here is a question for you: What is your view of and experience with professors? Some view professors as studious, boring individuals. I do not believe professors should be labeled that way. Some professors are actually young, cool individuals. Some professors take on interesting projects. Some professors write interesting books you would expect from other… Continue reading

Seeing or Viewpoint
Good morning from Linden, Guyana! I got up early today. I am remembering one of my favorite posts that showed how your angle determines what you see. I used photographs of a house for sale in the post to highlight what someone would see from different positions – similar to the different angles/views in Technical… Continue reading
ABOUT ME
I am working to be published. In the next few months, I would like to publish my PhD papers as well as lessons from my life.
I am on a break from PhD studies at National University, formerly Northcentral University (NCU). At NU, I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. Usability/user experience is one of my topics. Click on the ‘usability’ label/tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. I have new ideas you may be interested in. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag. If you are curious about my choices about God, click on the ‘WhyGodForever’ label.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
