Update 5/15
Just look at the beautiful roses from yesterday, Mother’s Day! They were not for me, of course. I am not a mom. They were for my mother. I have a doctor’s appointment today that I am preparing for. Continue reading

Employee Feedback Technologies
I found an interesting article on technologies used for employee feedback, referred to as employee feedback technologies. It is: Employee feedback technologies in the human performance system, 2010By Nathan Bakerhttps://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/13678868.2010.501994 One of the technologies/techniques is 360-degree feedback. I was not familiar with it so I looked it up. I found a lot of resources on… Continue reading

Feedback
Have you ever received feedback that did not align with your values? How do you know when to reject feedback? My mother loves to provide her opinions about my hair, my outfit, and a lot more. I have heard so much from her that I do not pay too much attention to her criticisms. She… Continue reading

Old Vs. New
Today, I decided that I needed tonics, multivitamins, nerve supplements, and so on to cure some of my ailments and be healthier. I am currently reviewing options. I am particularly interested in new products. I have very good opinions (memories) of products from “yesteryear” too – products I have known since childhood. I recall brands… Continue reading

Update 5/8
Over the past few days I submitted the two papers I was working on for publishing. I sent them to the journals that requested/suggested specific changes. One of the papers was much longer than the previous version. I hope that isn’t an issue. I am also dealing with the insurance company concerning my automobile accident.… Continue reading

World Hand Hygiene Day
It is World Hand Hygiene Day! I became aware of this around 3:30pm today (May 5th) so I did not participate in or plan any activities. I stumbled upon the information while reviewing materials on hand hygiene. You may be aware that I am preparing a paper on technology solutions for hand hygiene compliance for… Continue reading

Make It Better By Stopping For A While
Today, I am drinking green tea again. Recently, I had lots of fluids (soda, juice, almond milk) which may have caused my chest to hurt. So now I am drinking way less fluids. I would hate to be back on oxygen like I was in the hospital. The hand hygiene compliance paper is not yet… Continue reading

Still Working
I am still working on the hand hygiene paper. I have reviewed and edited most of the paper. There is still work to do reviewing the remaining sections. I was out yesterday taking care of business (related to my vehicle). The repair of my vehicle is finally moving forward. Hopefully, all repairs will be completed… Continue reading

Flowers
I love spring mostly because of the flowers that appear everywhere. The trees with flowers (especially the cherry blossom trees with the pretty pink flowers) look spectacular. It is a beautiful sight! I love flowers. I grew up around beautiful tropical plants/flowers such as the hibiscus and croton. Some had interesting names like ‘jump up… Continue reading

Nervous Reactions
My first thought about nervous reactions was that a person generally cannot control what makes them nervous or what triggers a nervous reaction. It is similar to a reflex action – it just happens. But, as I thought about it some more, I thought of people who experience some things so much that they no… Continue reading
ABOUT ME
I am working to be published. In the next few months, I would like to publish my PhD papers as well as lessons from my life.
I am on a break from PhD studies at National University, formerly Northcentral University (NCU). At NU, I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. Usability/user experience is one of my topics. Click on the ‘usability’ label/tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. I have new ideas you may be interested in. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag. If you are curious about my choices about God, click on the ‘WhyGodForever’ label.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
