Design
Good morning from Linden, Guyana!l This old photo of me showed up in my Facebook memories: That was a “no makeup” look. I really liked that scarf I was wearing on my head (I like scarfs in general). I recall that I was at my sister’s place/house when I took the photo. I stayed there Continue reading

Interesting post…. (Link to post: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/juliehyne_professionalwomen-womeninleadership-styleforlife-activity-7096999629568839680-BU1-?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop) Is this the reason why there is so much “sloppy clothing” for sale? It seems to be a brand. The LinkedIn community had other interesting comments. Continue reading

Article For Publishing, Customer Satisfaction And Design
I submitted an article for publishing yesterday. I hope the journal accepts it. I found an interesting article that was all about considering the customer’s satisfaction when designing a product (specifically the product’s appearance, such as color and shape of the product) to increase the likelihood that the customer will purchase the product. The researchers Continue reading

New resume/CV
In one of my recent posts on LinkedIn, I mentioned that I was working on my resume/CV and having difficulties. “My background is complicated.” I said. “It includes an internship in the middle of my career, design experience that intersects my BA experience, managerial experience from PhD coursework, and so on.” I wondered whether I Continue reading
FEATURED
I am working to be published.
I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
