Work on paper continues
The paper I am improving is a quantitative paper that tests a minor theory that higher compensation leads to higher work performance. I am in the process of looking into other theories on compensation and work performance. I started looking at the available research. I remember there was a lot of research in this area.… Continue reading

Work on paper
In my last post, I thought of working on a new paper for publishing. Many, many months ago, I was working on improving school papers so that they could be published in academic journals. I will continue this work. I selected a paper on compensation and employee performance to improve. It is a topic I… Continue reading

Update
I can’t believe it is Sunday already. The week went by in a jiffy. I had a cup of tea. It is one of those days. I have body aches. I feel a little weird. I feel like listening to music. It will assist in my recovery. Sometimes I am bored and have the urge… Continue reading

Admirable Professions
Today’s WordPress writing prompt: What profession do you admire most and why? My response: I thought of professors right away. I admire the work professors do. I hope to be a professor one day. The motivation project I prepared for my PhD program provided examples of professors that do good work and similar positions I… Continue reading

Day Out
Today, I was at Golden Corral again. Just like last time, I was there with my father for a father-daughter day out. Again, I enjoyed my time at the restaurant. I wanted to enjoy the food there but didn’t want to eat too much. There were a lot of food options/offerings – fish, chicken, meatloaf,… Continue reading

Health Benefits
After my attempts to submit an online disability benefit application failed, I called the general number to set up an appointment. It is further away than I anticipated. I like that there are various benefits to assist people who find themselves in trouble in the US. Unemployment insurance and disability insurance are examples. People find… Continue reading

ABOUT ME
I am working to be published. In the next few months, I would like to publish my PhD papers as well as lessons from my life.
I am on a break from PhD studies at National University, formerly Northcentral University (NCU). At NU, I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. Usability/user experience is one of my topics. Click on the ‘usability’ label/tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. I have new ideas you may be interested in. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag. If you are curious about my choices about God, click on the ‘WhyGodForever’ label.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
