Crowdfunding Research
I found an interesting and informative article that presents research on the factors that cause the funding of technology projects using crowdfunding in Korea. It was good that the researchers decided to focus on appropriate technology projects only and to compare them to other types of projects. The researchers used a theory derived from the… Continue reading

A question I don’t like to be asked
I continue to receive good feedback when I respond to prompts. I will continue to respond to them. Responding to the WordPress prompt for today 3/6/2024: I was always known as inquisitive. I usually ask a lot of questions. People ask me a lot of questions also. In the United States, people like to ask… Continue reading

Construction
There is a lot of construction around Amelia’s Ward, Linden. There is construction of private homes as well as business places. The construction calls for loads of white sand and bricks that can be seen by construction site. Continue reading

Technical Drawing Set
I spent some time playing with the pieces of my Helix Oxford mathematical instruments set which I call my ‘technical drawing set.’ The compass brought back memories of ‘scribing an arc’ during Technical Drawing class. I recall that we also created flowers and other interesting diagrams/drawings using the compass. In a past post, I mentioned… Continue reading

Morning Walk
Good morning from Linden, Guyana! I went out for a walk today right after 6a.m. Here is a fun fact: Mashramani celebrations started in Linden. According to the Guyana Chronicle, the first float parade was in Linden in 1966 (see below). Continue reading

Teachers
The United Nations reported on Twitter today that the world needs more teachers. Meanwhile… In Guyana, teachers continue their strike for better pay and more. I wish there were more/better statistics on the salaries of teachers as well as the salaries of other professions. I do not believe salaries are publicly available in Guyana like… Continue reading

Update
Good morning from Linden, Guyana! I heard that there were Mashramani festivities in Linden yesterday. I was not in attendance. I went out shopping with my mother yesterday. We picked up quite a few items (drinks, cheese, eggs, and so on) from several supermarkets in Amelia’s Ward. I had some of the cheese. It was… Continue reading

Papaw
I like papaw/papaya a whole lot, but I found a blogger who likes papaw even more. (Link to her blog post: https://steemit.com/fruitarian/@adamantine/my-favourite-fruits-papaya). Papaw is in a top spot for the blogger. It is second to the watermelon. It is not in such a high position for me. I eat a lot of it because of… Continue reading

Objects I Cannot Live Without
Responding to the WordPress Daily Writing Prompt for today 3/3/2024: Three objects I cannot live without include: my glasses; utensils, especially a drinking glass; and a mobile phone or tablet. I need my glasses to see properly. I wear my glasses every day. I need a drinking glass to drink water, which is essential for… Continue reading
FEATURED
I am working to be published.
I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
