Comment
A comment by my half-sister: Her comment impressed me. I did not know that she won an essay competition! I recall that we participated in mass games at the same time. She was a teacher. I was a student at President’s College. Interestingly, our aunt also participated in mass games that year. She was also… Continue reading

Acquired Taste
Good morning from Linden, Guyana! I got up early this morning. In my voice update on poems I was working on, I mentioned that the five-finger (carambola) tree in the backyard of my childhood home produced a lot of the fruit. Because of that tree, I took five-finger drink to school just about every day.… Continue reading

Power in Weakness
The Lord “gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” In that way, those who hope in the Lord are made strong when weak. From Isaiah 40:28-31 (NIV – New International Version): Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired… Continue reading

My reason for wanting to publish in academic journals was (and still is) to be known as an expert who is competent and can contribute important ideas to projects because she has important/impressive contributions under her belt. FEATURED
I am working to be published.
I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
