Guyanese Quinches
It occurred to me recently that Guyanese quinches is like or similar to bread and jam. Quiches is made from cassava. I believe it is considered a type of cassava bread. I remember enjoying quinches as a child. Family members made the quinches. Take a look at Guyanese quinches: This post by a local business/restaurant… Continue reading

Remote Work
Years ago, I started looking into remote or overseas jobs. Articles on the benefits of living in specific countries and expat living swayed my thinking on living elsewhere. I am still open to opportunities in different countries. Update
My sincere condolences to the families of the “army men” who lost their lives in the accident. Guyana lost some talent. I am working on the preparation of that audit resume I mentioned. I recall that I planned to move to the big city (away from DC) for a Financial Analyst job over 15 years… Continue reading

Bible Verses
Wisdom from the Holy Bible… Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Don’t be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your… Continue reading

Fruit at a time in my life
My previous post made me think of fruit-picking at President’s College. Students picked jamoon and maybe mangoes (I don’t remember much about this). I do recall that some students picked fruit during the time slot for meeting with pastoral parents. I recall doing other things during the pastoral time slot – in retrospect, they were… Continue reading

Fruit in the Caribbean
The fruit I eat are usually store-bought. In stores, there is a lot of fruit available for easy purchase – displayed well and at a fair price. As expected, fruit is “from the original source” fresh (the equivalent of farm-fresh) if picked from a tree. I remember there was much fruit-picking by children in Linden… Continue reading

Guava
Photo of a guava tree… I like guava including guava jam and guava cheese. I like both types or varieties. In the US, I could not find guava in stores. However, the pear (not the avocado pear) available in the US is a lot like the large guava. Continue reading

Auditing Position
I have had success training/teaching others so a training position would work well for me. I am sure that my background (education, experience, and so on) would also get me an Auditing/Inspector General position. I have a lot of experience with audits. Early in my career, I provided information for Auditors to complete their audit… Continue reading
FEATURED
I am working to be published.
I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
