Cherries
I went walking yesterday. While walking, I stopped to pick cherries from a neighbor’s tree. The cherry trees here have lots of (are laden with) cherries. The cherries are sour and good. They help with digestion. I think cherries are very interesting. In Guyana, there is also the gamma cherries that are used in kite-making.… Continue reading

Food In Guyana
The different peoples/cultures contributed to the food in the country. For example, pepperpot is based on a traditional Amerindian dish. Metemgee is from Afro-Guyanese. And, roti and dhal from the Indo-Guyanese. It is good that people do not only consume (or stick with) the food from their original ancestors. Everyone eats and enjoys the food.… Continue reading

Guyanese Quinches
It occurred to me recently that Guyanese quinches is like or similar to bread and jam. Quiches is made from cassava. I believe it is considered a type of cassava bread. I remember enjoying quinches as a child. Family members made the quinches. Take a look at Guyanese quinches: This post by a local business/restaurant… Continue reading

All Me
There is so much of me in my work. Even the course blogs I created for personal tracking of my PhD course activities say a lot about me. For example, the blog I created for the Research Methods course (http://fmooresignatureassignment3.blogspot.com/?m=0) includes images that say a lot about my background, such as the UG dorm, a… Continue reading

Black Option
A black credit card launched, a black food container – it seems that people in Guyana are used to/comfortable with black (and other dark colors such as brown). I recall that black is one of the colors included in the Guyana flag – it symbolizes strength and endurance. Continue reading

I completed about 10 signature assignments at NCU. One of those signature assignments was prepared from Georgetown, Guyana – the signature assignment on IKEA Operations (prepared for the Business Environment course). I traveled to Guyana five years ago after my ordeal in New York. I completed most of the assignments for the course in New… Continue reading

ABOUT ME
I am working to be published. In the next few months, I would like to publish my PhD papers as well as lessons from my life.
I am on a break from PhD studies at National University, formerly Northcentral University (NCU). At NU, I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. Usability/user experience is one of my topics. Click on the ‘usability’ label/tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. I have new ideas you may be interested in. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag. If you are curious about my choices about God, click on the ‘WhyGodForever’ label.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
