  • Looking Back

Yesterday, I reviewed a verse from Genesis in the bible that provided the reason why Lot’s wife became a pillar of salt. It was  because she looked back. Isn’t it interesting that we “look back” on social media all the time? ThrowbackThursday is a very popular hashtag. There are usually millions of posts that look… Continue reading

  • Chinese in Guyana

Good morning from Linden, Guyana! Recently, I thought of Chinese vegetables and looked up the vegetables considered Chinese in my Pinterest board ‘Chinese vegetables’ (https://www.pinterest.com/fahmeenaodetta/chinese-vegetables/). Guyanese eat a lot of pak choi, Chinese calaloo, and bora (Chinese long beans). I grew up eating these vegetables. Guyanese also eat “chicken foot” which is popular in China. … Continue reading

  • Good weather forecast

It is raining here in Amelia’s Ward, Linden, Guyana. This is evidence that the weather forecast by Accuweather is accurate.  It deserves a good review/feedback, some would say a “shout out.” It is warm here in Linden, Guyana. At this time of year, the temperature in Maryland, USA is typically below freezing. In Maryland, the… Continue reading

  • Bananas & Ice Cream

I had bananas. They were not the regular bananas I am used to. They were a different variety (much smaller).  A banana split with a cherry on top would have been better on this hot day. I really like ice cream! Did you see the ice cream post in my blog with the interesting research… Continue reading

  • New Video Update

Link to video: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/K5882tVR1DMnn5Aj/?mibextid=oFDknk In the short video, I talk a little about the weather in Linden and the condo unit I am staying in. I mentioned that my condo unit is like a hotel room and also… Continue reading

  • Morning Walk

Good morning from Linden! I went out for a walk during the 6am hour. Here are two photos I took. I especially like the photo of the papaw/papaya tree. In the photo, the bright morning light shines in the background. The papaw tree is tall with leaves on top and the fruit just below the… Continue reading

Good morning from Linden! Here is a photo of white sand in my front yard in Linden.. Linden is in the Hilly, Sand and Clay Region in Guyana – there is sand, there is hills, there is clay. Linden is in (Administrative) Region 10. The marks in the sand remind me of the lines/marks added… Continue reading

  • Update

I had a good time with family. The car ride there and back was interesting. I saw a different part of Amelia’s Ward. The car had praying hands on the windshield – a reminder to take everything to the Lord in prayer. I need this. I had some delicious “black eye cook-up” (cook-up rice with… Continue reading

FEATURED

I am working to be published.

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.

About THIS BLOG

I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.

I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.

I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
