AI, Experimental Work
I see AI all around. A Google search now includes an AI overview (as shown below). Another example is AI in Paint (see below). I know that people are also using AI to assist with writing. Although I learned from articles and posts that provide useful information, I need to learn more about writing using Continue reading

Federal and State Regulations
#ThrowbackThursday Today I throwback to an assignment I prepared for one of my database courses at NCU now National University. In the paper, I pulled together federal and state regulations/rules, standards, and policies that pertain the data protection. The paper was similar to a document I prepared on an audit project at Grant Thornton. However, Continue reading

Resume Length
My resume does not show the job title Writer or Technical Writer much, but I have been writing as part of my job for over 20 years! One of the first jobs was the Financial Auditor position I held in 2003/2004. I was an auditor who was also responsible for writing reports of my findings. Continue reading

Writing
In addition to writing/drafting reports as a Financial Auditor at ODCA in DC, I wrote requirements for the design and development of information systems. At one important job, I got lots of practice writing use cases and requirements statements (“The system shall” statements). Requirements are “published” in a system requirements document. The document is usually Continue reading

Paper I submitted for publishing
#ThrowbackThursday Today I remember one of my papers that addressed how professionals are used in development processes and issues that may arise on where they are placed in the process. The paper focused on marketing professionals in the product development process. I got the idea from my experience at a previous employer where I was Continue reading

Marketing Paper
The marketing paper turned into a paper that argues for something. Drawing from my experience, I came up with the idea that marketing professionals should be involved earlier in the process. I will submit the paper for publishing soon. I am working, working, working…. Continue reading

Primarily A Consultant
My resume/ LinkedIn profile shows a lot of titles, but my role/job is really Consultant. Here is a short summary: Over her career, Fahmeena Odetta Moore has worked primarily as a Consultant. She has significant experience working as a Consultant for consulting companies such as ICF International and Grant Thornton on consulting assignments at US Continue reading

Additional Thoughts On My Research Experience
Today I am still thinking of my research experience. I prepared final research papers to complete my bachelor’s and MSF degrees. This experience is not shown in the LinkedIn profile. There is much research involved in the job of a Business Analyst (IT BA). I recall a project I worked on at one company that Continue reading

Change
More practice today. Today I am thinking of change. Prices change, people change, places change, and so on. Price increases, such as the increase in gas prices, are usually negative changes for the consumer; people don’t like them very much. From economic theory, I know that consumers sometimes (maybe want to) find substitutes for goods Continue reading

LinkedIn Profile Updates
I updated my main LinkedIn profile. I updated the descriptions of two positions I held before moving into IT – the finance positions. The description for the Financial Auditor position is more descriptive/detailed.I added information on data warehouse reports I assisted to develop (from the business side) to the Financial Analyst position. I should have Continue reading
FEATURED
I am working to be published.
I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
