My Last Search
The WordPress prompt for today 8/27/2024 is: What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it? My response: I use Google search fairly regularly. I search for such things as: articles/papers, lyrics to songs, and people. I tend to use keyword searches (rather than full sentences or questions) and usually Continue reading

World Poetry Day
I learned a few minutes ago that it is World Poetry Day. The United Nations post I looked at (below) encouraged readers to share a poem that provided comfort in difficult times. I will say that: People, things, places could provide comfort when needed Comfort can come from surprising places. Continue reading

Some more poems…
Here are some more poems I “thought up” during the blackout. I was writing poems since high school. I recall that I wanted quotes, poems, and other words of wisdom for my green folder book in high school. I wrote at least one poem that I added to the book. (Find more on the green Continue reading

FEATURED
I am working to be published.
I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
