New Year
This is my first post in 2026! It is a new year and I expect good things to happen. It is normal here in Maryland. I have little planned for today. I do have some appointments coming up so I would be getting dressed up for going out soon. I do need a few items Continue reading

Thoughts on a Friday
I am feeling less stressed and burdened today (some may say lighthearted). My eye still feels weird and I have other issues but I feel good. Listening to music also does this. I found a deck of cards in my home. Similar to my current situation, cards may be viewed as evil (associated with gambling Continue reading

Update
It is a good morning in Lanham, Maryland! I feel better today. I am enjoying coconut juice this morning. I not only drink tea. I also drink coffee which is popular in the U.S. I like yesterday’s draft a lot but it did not include all I wanted to express about the school. As an Continue reading

Draft
I appreciate a lot of things about President’s College. I know that I was a part of something special. I liked the structure – a timetable of activities that provided guidance on things to consider and include in your life. For example, there was the morning run. At the school, I was introduced to a Continue reading

Forthcoming work
I just saw a post from the President’s College Alumni Incorporated (PCAI) requesting posts from alumni on their time at the college/high school. I like this. It is a good idea by Akintayo. It seems that he is enjoying his new job as Chairman. I will contribute. I will assume it will be accepted if Continue reading

Board Games
Response to today’s WordPress writing prompt: What’s your favorite game (card, board, video, etc.)? Why? I chose to focus on board games. I learned to play lots of board games from about age 8. One of the first board games I learned was Checkers (called Draughts) from my father. My father loved the game and Continue reading

PC Alumni Events
I read notices of two upcoming events for President’s College alumni in Facebook, which led me to believe there was a meeting of the PCAI officers recently. It seemed obvious to me that the management of the association sat and carefully planned the events, including marketing of the events. A Barbecue is planned for June Continue reading

Fruit Salad for Breakfast
Good morning from Linden, Guyana! I went out for a brief time at around 6am this morning. I would like a good fruit salad for my breakfast this morning. Did you know that fruit is a good option for breakfast? Years ago, I made a banana and apple fruit salad that would be really good Continue reading

President’s College
I included a short description of President’s College in my LinkedIn profile. The school offered subjects/courses that were not offered at other secondary schools at the time. Technical Drawing was one of those courses. Computer Studies was another. Continue reading

Seeing or Viewpoint
Good morning from Linden, Guyana! I got up early today. I am remembering one of my favorite posts that showed how your angle determines what you see. I used photographs of a house for sale in the post to highlight what someone would see from different positions – similar to the different angles/views in Technical Continue reading
FEATURED
I am working to be published.
I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
