The Topic Pain
The topic in the recent call for papers by the Journal of Business Research (“No Pain No Gain”: Understanding and Applications of Pain in Marketing Scholarship & Practice) is very interesting! Some of the questions papers can address include: (1) How do different types of pain (e.g., physical, psychological, mental or emotional) affect consumption? (2)… Continue reading

Catching Up
I returned to my publishing work today. I am still catching up (“getting caught up”) on my projects/work. I needed to make a small change to a paper I submitted so it would be forwarded to the editor/reviewers. I made the change today. I received the email about the change in late February. Continue reading

Success Research

This research by a Stanford professor investigated determinants/keys of success by identifying common traits in successful people: Keys To Success: 6 Traits The Most Successful People Have In Commonhttps://bakadesuyo.com/2013/08/keys-to-success/ My research looked at successful people who are “different.” They are from a different culture or… Continue reading

Additional Thoughts On My Research Experience
Today I am still thinking of my research experience. I prepared final research papers to complete my bachelor’s and MSF degrees. This experience is not shown in the LinkedIn profile. There is much research involved in the job of a Business Analyst (IT BA). I recall a project I worked on at one company that… Continue reading

I am slower this week because of a slow internet connection at home. Websites are taking much longer to load. It takes… Continue reading

Background In Statistical Analysis, Surveys
Using a questionnaire to collect information from people (conducting surveys) is an important part of research. I have lots of experience conducting surveys. My first survey was for an A-Level project at President’s College. The course/subject was Pure Mathematics with Statistics (it was for the Statistics part). I designed the questionnaire and went out into… Continue reading

Posts On Journal Articles
I found some interesting journal articles that informed me of issues and made me think of “possibilities.” I wrote about them in LinkedIn. Here are the posts: Post 1 My issue today: automation. Just yesterday, I wrote that systems will be assisting with the creation of diagrams in software development (see post: https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2022/07/change.html). FEATURED
I am working to be published.
I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. Usability/user experience is one of my topics. Click on the ‘usability’ label/tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. I have new ideas you may be interested in. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag. If you are curious about my choices about God, click on the ‘WhyGodForever’ label.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
