Inside Fahmeena Odetta's Head

Blog by Fahmeena Odetta Moore. I trust in Almighty God ("But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.")

Update

The new year is almost here. I am looking forward to new beginnings. I should be better off in 2026. At some point in 2026, I expect to return to work in good health. I hope to complete my PhD in 2026 too.

I am not feeling my best right now. I decided to take things slow. I don’t do much – I do a little work around the house and some other things. I try my best. The days go by quickly. Before you know it, it is 5pm and dark outside.

A few days ago, I wanted to purchase a few personal items online (there were some good sales) I never got around to it. I made a small purchase recently. I enjoyed the ice cream, ramen and other food items I purchased.

FEATURED

I am working to be published.

I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.

About THIS BLOG

I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.

I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.

I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
