Blurring lines
That Anne Carson, the new Nobel Prize winner, blurs lines/categories in literature was a surprise. I read with interest that she writes “novels in verse, essays that read like poems, and poems that read like philosophy.” My book is similar (it blurs lines too). Wow! I received the book just yesterday… Copies of my book… Continue reading

Hemingway
It is interesting that I will be compared to Ernest Hemingway (as I mentioned in my previous post, I am channeling Ernest Hemingway – I like the idea of combining stories and poems). I am fairly new to Hemingway’s work. I did not examine Hemingway’s work in high school or college. I found an interesting… Continue reading

What I’m currently working on 9.17.2026
I am working on several books to be published. One will provide more information about me and my high school experience. Another will include three poems on President’s College. (See post on three items that say so much: https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2026/08/three-items-to-say-so-much.html). There is also a book on luck. It will look into my weird coincidences. I like… Continue reading

Known For
Three things that stand out about me (I need to toot my horn from time to time): I like to understand and make sense of things. I also have good ideas. My Lessons Project is one of my ideas/projects that stand out. Just aggregating the various lessons was good. The statistics papers I had out… Continue reading

God is working in my life
Is God working in my life? Sometimes I am not sure. There are times I can only say things turned out well because of God. Take the papers I worked on when away from school contemplating my future. I cannot believe ambidexterity fits so well. I was able to report cases of ambidexterity not yet… Continue reading

My current research situation
From time to time, I check my preprints for comments such as suggested changes or suggested new papers. I am very happy that some reviewers recommended the papers for others to read (and maybe for publishing). I am making a name for myself in research! Just for your information, my preprints were submitted to journals… Continue reading

ABOUT ME
I am working to be published. In the next few months, I would like to publish my PhD papers as well as lessons from my life.
I am on a break from PhD studies at National University, formerly Northcentral University (NCU). At NU, I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. Usability/user experience is one of my topics. Click on the ‘usability’ label/tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. I have new ideas you may be interested in. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag. If you are curious about my choices about God, click on the ‘WhyGodForever’ label.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
