Three items that say so much
Three poems that say so much about President’s College (my high school). I came up with a combination that “sings.” I can’t believe I did. It is somewhat similar to my paper on three articles. My backgrounds now intersect. https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2026/08/special-poems-highlighting-wooden.html https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2026/06/paper-for-publishing.html Continue reading

Special poems highlighting wooden background
I am currently working on another book of poems on President’s College. I also started a book on luck. There is a lot of work to do. Included are three poems that highlight my wooden background. It sort of gives special meaning to “knock on wood” (https://www.rd.com/article/knock-on-wood-meaning/). The poems and book must be special. (Note:… Continue reading

Respect
Thought for today… People usually don’t look good when they are down, during struggles of any kind. Failure is an example. When a person figures out what to do, transforms their career, leaves struggles behind and emerges victorious, that is to be respected. Respect is complicated. He who has never failed somewhere, that man cannot… Continue reading

What’s happening
Good morning from Lanham, MD! I got up later than normal today. I am working on those poems. I think this is good preparation for a job. I will be able to take the rigors of the position. I am still reviewing positions/vacancies. I would like a Professor position that requires working from home although… Continue reading

Happiest
When was the happiest you’ve ever been in your life? I was happiest when I survived the impossible and live on to another day. Sometimes I cannot believe things worked out the way they did and I feel lucky. (https://x.com/wisdomXplorer/status/2086793977890546000) Continue reading

Status
The status of my FOIA Request is ‘Assigned for Processing’ (see below). I expect a response by 8/31/2026. The response will likely be mailed. I say this because I needed to provide my address. I assume mailing is necessary but it could be that the department needed to ensure the request was from a US… Continue reading

ABOUT ME
I am working to be published. In the next few months, I would like to publish my PhD papers as well as lessons from my life.
I am on a break from PhD studies at National University, formerly Northcentral University (NCU). At NU, I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. Usability/user experience is one of my topics. Click on the ‘usability’ label/tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. I have new ideas you may be interested in. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag. If you are curious about my choices about God, click on the ‘WhyGodForever’ label.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
