Update
I had a good time with family. The car ride there and back was interesting. I saw a different part of Amelia’s Ward. The car had praying hands on the windshield – a reminder to take everything to the Lord in prayer. I need this. I had some delicious “black eye cook-up” (cook-up rice with… Continue reading

New Morning
I went out for a short walk today. It is a misty morning! This reminded me of the many misty mornings from my childhood. I also recall the one misty morning I experienced in Gainesville. I will be out and about (Linden) today. I expect very hot temperatures today – misty mornings usually become very… Continue reading

Oils and the Bible
Some stores that sell Bibles also sell scented oils. This seems to be because (or the thinking behind that seems to be that) oils could be very useful to Christians and the right oils must be made available to them. The Bible provides examples of how oils could be used. Continue reading

Scents
In my previous post on scents, I explained that I like to use sweet-smelling lotions and creams. I also like to use scented oils. I was surprised by the large number of scented oils available. I purchased quite a few of the options. It is hard to select a favorite. One stands out. It is… Continue reading

Shandy
I just love the Shandy! It is the best drink by Banks DIH. When I landed at the airport in Guyana months ago, I grabbed a Shandy and a cheeseroll from a nearby shop. I like the taste of the lemon Shandy. It reminds me of Arbor Mist (wine) Continue reading

Update
I spend a lot of time indoors. I like the unit (and living by myself). I try to keep it clean. I don’t like the shower – there is no water when I turn it on. I use the sink. I also use a bucket. Did you know that in Linden “taking a bath” does… Continue reading

Currently, the domain/website only shows the posts to my blog Inside Fahmeena Odetta’s Head – it is one of the blog pages I set up for the blog (the others are a Blogger/Blogspot blog, a Tumblr blog, a Facebook page, and… Continue reading

Scents
My previous post made me think of skin and beauty products I like to purchase. I enjoy lotions/creams, perfumes, and so on because of their pleasant smells. In the past, I stocked up on the products from stores such as Bed Bath and Beyond and CVS. I like to smell or sample lotions before purchasing… Continue reading
ABOUT ME
I am working to be published. In the next few months, I would like to publish my PhD papers as well as lessons from my life.
I am on a break from PhD studies at National University, formerly Northcentral University (NCU). At NU, I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. Usability/user experience is one of my topics. Click on the ‘usability’ label/tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. I have new ideas you may be interested in. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag. If you are curious about my choices about God, click on the ‘WhyGodForever’ label.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
