Guyana Future
Good morning from Linden, Guyana! I saw an essay competition for Guyanese children on Facebook that got me thinking about the development of the country. The main theme of my poems is ‘working from home’ – production/manufacturing- like operations from a private residence. This information is useful when thinking of designs for homes and also… Continue reading

Another interesting video of Guyana
Very funny and interesting video by Wodemaya: https://fb.watch/p01CkHkx-E/?mibextid=Nif5oz When I was a teenager, one of my “chores” was working as a conductress on my father’s small bus. I loaded the bus (like Wodemaya is doing in the video) and collected fares from passengers. It is a very profitable business. Continue reading

Cherries
I went walking yesterday. While walking, I stopped to pick cherries from a neighbor’s tree. The cherry trees here have lots of (are laden with) cherries. The cherries are sour and good. They help with digestion. I think cherries are very interesting. In Guyana, there is also the gamma cherries that are used in kite-making.… Continue reading

Food In Guyana
The different peoples/cultures contributed to the food in the country. For example, pepperpot is based on a traditional Amerindian dish. Metemgee is from Afro-Guyanese. And, roti and dhal from the Indo-Guyanese. It is good that people do not only consume (or stick with) the food from their original ancestors. Everyone eats and enjoys the food.… Continue reading
FEATURED
I am working to be published.
I completed 11 signature assignments – significant papers with original ideas. In one paper, I foresaw specific problems at a major company. In another, I designed a study (with statistical analyses) to explain why videos do not significantly enhance or improve online reviews. I worked alone. My signature assignments available at: https://fahmeenaodettasignaturepapers.tumblr.com.
About THIS BLOG
I created this blog to capture my thoughts and ideas and to practice writing. Why practice writing? I was on a break from my PhD and not writing much. I needed to continue writing regularly – I wrote and submitted weekly assignments/papers.
I also track my mental health using this blog.
I am currently working on publishing my papers in academic journals. Click the ‘paperforpublishing’ tag in the tags section below for my last status update. My main area of specialization is usability/user experience. Click on the ‘usability’ tag to view my posts, including ideas, on usability. If you are here for information on my success research, click on the ‘success’ tag. If you are here for information on my hometown, click on the ‘lindenguyana’ tag.
I welcome comments. Submit your comments and feedback at any time. I prefer that you use Facebook for comments, but feel free to comment in any of the blogs or on Twitter.
